Kind Words …
“After meeting with Cantor Jacobson, we knew that she was the perfect officiant for us. She exudes kindness, positivity, and warmth. Throughout the wedding planning process, Cantor Jacobson took the time to truly get to know us as a couple and as individuals. She was always there to answer questions and support us in any way that we needed.
The moment we saw Cantor Jacobson on our wedding day, we felt at ease. We were both very nervous before the ceremony, but Cantor Jacobson made us feel incredibly comfortable under the chuppah. Cantor Jacobson told us that she would be there every step of the way during the ceremony and that is exactly how we felt. She guided us through the whole ceremony and made us feel so calm. We could not imagine our wedding day without her!
Our family and friends raved about the ceremony for days after the wedding. They were so impressed by Cantor Jacobson’s voice, words, and presence. Not only is Cantor Jacobson a beautiful singer, but she is a beautiful person. We are so lucky to have found Cantor Jacobson. She was such a vital part of our special day. We cannot wait to use her for future baby naming ceremonies and other occasions!”

"Choosing to work with Cantor Jacobson was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. My husband and I knew from our first meeting with Cantor Jacobson that she would be the one to officiate our marriage. Through several Zoom meetings and phone calls over the course of a year (which we always SO looked forward to!), we felt as if we had known her our entire lives. Her warm and calming personality made us feel comfortable sharing anything and everything, and her lightheartedness had us leaving every session with a great big smile on our faces. She took the time to really get to know us as individuals and as a couple, which gave way to the most personal and magical ceremony we could have ever hoped for.
Cantor Jacobson created a custom ceremony that perfectly captured our personalities, our values, our relationships with both each other and our friends and family, and our love so perfectly well, while tying in the perfect balance of Jewish traditions and meaningful anecdotes throughout. Throughout both the Ketubah signing ceremony and our time together under the Chuppah, every single moment felt so meaningful and so special, while also maintaining the lightness and sense of humor Cantor Jacobson knew was important to us. She incorporated details from our conversation that we would not have even remembered discussing, but we are so grateful she included - it was evident that she put a tremendous amount of care, creativity, and love into every word. An overwhelming number of our guests shared that our ceremony was one of the most touching and memorable they had ever been a part of. AND we would be remiss not to mention that every single one of our guests were blown away by her breathtakingly beautiful singing voice (as were we from day one!).
There are not enough words to describe how much love we have for Cantor Jacobson. We highly recommend her services to anyone who is searching for a truly exceptional, unforgettable ceremony - and overall experience. We are so grateful for the beautiful wedding day she helped us create, and we cannot wait to celebrate all of life's future milestones with her! Thank you Cantor Jacobson!”

“Our wedding day was perfect. And it all started with an absolutely beautiful ceremony led by Cantor Deborah Jacobson. Choosing Cantor Jacobson as our officiant meant that we had not only a consummate professional who was more than qualified to handle the job and exceptionally prepared to do it well but also a trained performer with an incredible voice who made our wedding ceremony an experience that we will always cherish.
Cantor Jacobson was communicative from the start, meeting with my (then) fiance and me multiple times to hear our story and get various tidbits about our relationship and families, and then expertly weaved that information into her dialogue for our ceremony. Our family and friends, the toughest critics we know, universally raved about the job she did. We're forever grateful to Cantor Jacobson for helping make our special day that much more special.”

“From the start, Cantor Jacobson brought such a personal, positive, fun and loving perspective to our wedding ceremony. My husband and I come from different religious backgrounds (I am Jewish, but celebrated Christmas as my father is Catholic, and my husband Lutheran) and were looking for officiants that would highlight both of our backgrounds during the ceremony. It was very important to us that each of our upbringings were celebrated so all of our friends and family could feel apart of it with us. Cantor Jacobson helped us craft a ceremony that did just that. She incorporated our personal love story and her incredible voice guided us with our Christian co-officiant (that happened to be one of my husband's best friends). Throughout the process, Cantor Jacobson was extremely open and receptive to our vision. She took our feedback to heart and walked through her thought process with us. She even went the extra mile to give advice on how we could best structure the Jewish and Christian elements to make the ceremony flow seamlessly.
We could not have been happier and more appreciative of Cantor Jacobson and hope to work with her again in the future!”

“My husband and I are so happy that we worked with Cantor Jacobson for our wedding! She made our wedding feel so special and personal. We wanted Jewish ceremony traditions and to write our own vows and Deborah made sure our ceremony was exactly how we envisioned it. She was extremely responsive and flexible - it was very easy to work with her. She did a wonderful job on our wedding day making the ceremony feel personal, meaningful, and fun. She made sure to speak with each of us individually to find out what we love about the other. It was extremely special to hear these words and the sincerity and love from her message. Her voice is absolutely amazing. She sang during our ceremony and you could get lost in her voice. We had a ton of our guests tell her how amazing she was afterward! The love, joy, and warmth that she exudes are incredible. But most importantly, we know that we found someone we can turn to for many years and milestones to come!”

“Cantor Jacobson was the perfect choice to officiate our wedding. My husband and I were an interfaith couple who knew we wanted a ceremony with Jewish traditions. We had a wonderful experience working with Cantor Jacobson to plan our wedding ceremony. She took the time, through several meetings - both in person and on the phone, to get to know both my husband and I, to understand our personalities, and to listen to our hopes for our wedding ceremony as well as our goals for the future. The result was a beautiful ceremony that incorporated parts of a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony as well as elements of my husband’s Irish background, brought together with Cantor Jacobson’s beautiful voice as well as her very personal words that captured both my husband's and my personalities, our partnership, and our families.
Through preparing for our wedding, we developed a wonderful relationship with Cantor Jacobson. When our daughter was born several years later, we wanted Cantor Jacobson to continue to be a part of the most important moments for our family and she co-officiated at her baby naming ceremony!”

“As an interfaith couple celebrating our destination wedding in Panama, we were so lucky to have been referred to Cantor Deborah Jacobson. She took the hard work out of planning the logistics of the ceremony and allowed us to simply enjoy it. Meetings with Cantor Jacobson were highly conversational and filled with laughter. She got to know us really well, asking questions that gave her insight into us as individuals and as a couple. She also educated us greatly on the significance of religious marriage traditions and how much our faiths have in common to apply in the ceremony proceedings. Cantor Jacobson was easy to work with, personable, and professional. We can’t thank her enough for not only officiating our wedding day but making it go off without a hitch! We look forward to working with her again.”

“Cantor Jacobson was an incredible support to us throughout our wedding process. In our meetings with Cantor Jacobson, she took a genuine interest in getting to know us as individuals and as a couple. Due to Covid, we had a small ceremony with family in March and a larger celebration in September. Cantor Jacobson performed both ceremonies and they each felt uniquely special. We truly appreciated her expertise and guidance in traditional Jewish wedding rituals. At the same time, she allowed us to incorporate our own personal touches into each ceremony that made them feel distinctive to us. So many of our wedding guests told us how special and joyous the ceremony felt, and that it reflected who we are as a couple.”

“Our children's wedding was one of the most special day's of our life. The ceremony was so intimate and meaningful. Cantor Jacobson with her beautiful chanting and words gave the wedding a very special feeling. She added warmth and love that was felt not only by the bride, JRay and the groom, Adam - but by all who were there. We are so grateful she married these two special young people!”

“When we began to plan our wedding, I knew I wanted a Jewish service and officiant. However, since Ann is not Jewish, I was having some trouble finding anyone who would officiate for us. I have known Deborah for some time and asked if she would be able to come down to Florida from NY to do the service for us. She was not only able, but more than willing. The service was intimate and beautiful. Deborah did such a great job of crafting the service to our wants that it felt very personal. I also can’t forget the beauty of Deborah’s voice, which complemented our gorgeous surroundings.”
— Burl Peters and Ann Connell, wedding at Honeymoon Island Beach, Florida
“We were so happy that Cantor Jacobson officiated the service for our wedding, which was so perfect in every way. Cantor Jacobson is very sweet, kind and was inclusive to our whole family.”

“Several years after my divorce I met my Besheirt, who happened to be Catholic. Since Patrick wasn’t going to convert I knew that my beloved rabbi and cantor from my Conservative Synagogue would be unable to perform the ceremony. I reached out to Cantor Deborah Jacobson, who served as our congregation's cantor some years earlier and who was at that time serving a Reform congregation. Deborah said she would be thrilled and honored to marry us.
The process and ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. In order to accommodate our schedules, we were able to meet with Deborah via Skype. We had a lengthy meeting during which she asked all the right questions and encouraged us to talk. She learned more about me. She Learned about Patrick. And she learned about us as a couple. Everything we talked about found its way into the beautiful wedding ceremony.
I wanted the wedding ceremony to be as traditionally Jewish as possible and Deborah made that happen. She even hooked us up with a website where we were able to have a beautiful “interfaith ketubah” created for us.
Both of our families loved the beautiful ceremony. Patrick's family was especially moved and shed tears when his deceased parents were mentioned by name.
You simply can’t go wrong with Cantor Jacobson as your wedding officiant.”
